What this site collects.

Short version: a contact form, no analytics, no cookies, no tracking, and nothing sold to anyone.

Draft — needs review before you rely on it.

The data flows described below are accurate and were checked against the site's code. The registered address and the retention period still need filling in, and the whole thing should be read by someone who knows which jurisdiction FB Code LLC answers to.

This page describes what happens to information when you use fb-code.com. It covers the website only, not any project we run for a client under a separate agreement.

What we collect

Only one thing on this site asks you for information: the contact form. If you submit it, we receive your name, email address, company, the topic you picked, and the message you wrote. Nothing else on the site asks you for anything, and there is no account to create.

What we do not do

No analytics. No advertising or marketing pixels. No cookies — the site sets none at all. Nothing you do here is profiled, and nothing is sold, rented or shared for anyone else's marketing. Submitting the form does not add you to a mailing list.

Who else handles it

Three third parties are involved in running the site. Each has its own privacy terms.

  • FormspreeReceives the contact form and forwards it to us by email. Your message passes through and is stored on their systems. Their privacy policy.
  • GitHub PagesHosts and serves these pages. Like any web server it records request logs, which include your IP address. GitHub's privacy statement.
  • Google FontsThe typefaces load from Google's servers, so your IP address and browser details reach Google when a page renders. What Google says it collects.

If the Google Fonts connection is a problem for you, the fonts can be self-hosted instead and that request to Google disappears — ask and we will do it.

What stays on your device

If you switch the site between dark and light, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under fbcode-theme. It never leaves your device, it is not a cookie, and it is not readable by us. Clearing your browser data removes it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to reply and to keep ordinary business records. [Set a concrete retention period here.] Ask us to delete yours and we will.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and say what you want done. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Who to ask
